  • We have begun the process of interviewing veterans for our digital history which will be exhibited in the museum and available to various organizations and educators
  • We have put in place many of the tools for our Capital Campaign which will start in Spring
  • We have been doing continuous updates to our business plan
  • We held our first Annual Fall Fund Raiser at the Weill Center
  • and I'm sure there are many others
VICE ADMIRAL DAVID ROBINSON TO VISIT SHEBOYGAN
D Robinson Vice Admiral David Robinson was the Commanding Officer of the USS Canon while she served in Vietnam.  There were two significant battles on the rivers of Vietnam.  For this action, members of her crew were rewarded for their heroism with three Silver Stars, five Bronze Stars, a Navy Commendation Medal and fourteen Purple Hearts.  Vice Admiral Robinson will be visiting in Sheboygan for a few weeks this coming March.   You have an opportunity to host a private reception for friends, or you can sponsor a table at our dinner at the Sheboygan Yacht Club the evening of March 25th.

It's NOT too late to make a donation and help us end  2009 on a positive note.    I want to remind everyone that the Wisconsin Naval Ship Association is a 501c3 entity so all donations can be deducted on your income tax forms.

This can be your commitment to making the dream of many dedicated volunteers to bring the USS Canon to Sheboygan, WI come true.

We also accept donations from those of you who are not concerned about the tax deduction implications.  :-)

Sincerely,

Business Drive, Suite 140, Sheboygan, WI  53081.  The map of the journey can be found at the museum facebook page or theUSS Canon cause page.

Donations can be made quickly & safely right on line at the USS Canon cause page.
