Hope you find these monthly briefings informative.   We are on a fast track as we prepare to bring the USS Canon to Sheboygan & open the Naval Museum & Education Center of Sheboygan.   This newsletter is still being fine tuned -- please share your ideas & suggestions with us.

Bead Trade
This Veteran's Day, we Senior Center Poster
invite those of you in the area --  November 11 at 1pm to the Sheboygan Senior Center, 428 Wisconsin Avenue (once the site of a Naval Reserve Center).  
 
Mayor Ryan will do a brief welcome.  The Sea Cadets will do a brief presentation.  A communication from Senator Kohl to the Naval Museum & Education Center, giving recongition to our veterans will be read.  And, memories of those that served at the Naval Reserve Center will be shared.
 
We will be doing a community briefing on the progress of  bringing the USS Canon to Sheboygan as we establish The Naval Museum & Education Center of Sheboygan.   We wil give recognition and honor to all those who have served our country.

Congratulations !!
Cadets
Two Cadets were recently honored for their work.  Both Cheyenne and Nicolas took and passed the Petty Officer Third Class test. So both Cheyenne & Nic will be the units first Petty Officers. 
Cheyenne is 12 and attends Thomas Jefferson Middle School in Port Washington. Cheyenne has been in the NLCC since June of 2008.
 
Nic is 12 and attends Oostburg Middle Scholl in Oostburg. Nic has been in the NLCC since January of 2009. 
 Cadets
 Founded in 2008, Training Ship Abingdon was       established to provide a resource for children in the Sheboygan,  Ozaukee and Manitowoc areas.

With children aging from 10-14, the NLCC helps it's members by providing them with a positive peer and a structured mentor environment with   emphasis on the 3 core values of Honor, Courage and Commitment.
