If you have interesting school news, community events, or other information to share with the Holmes family, please send your Word documents via email to our editor by October 12th. All submissions will be reviewed and approved by the school administration prior to acceptance.

Did you miss the Fall Fundraiser? It's not too late to make a difference. Every Holmes family has the opportunity to OPT IN to the Holmes Pledge Drive. | Open PTA Board Positions | |  Article SubheadingThe Holmes PTA has the following important Board positions available: Campus Chair - Helps maintain school gardens, storage sheds, and Lost & Found. Assists with safety programs at the school.
Appreciation Chair - Coordinates Student Recognition Assemblies, Teacher & Secretary Appreciation activities and the annual Founders Day Dinner.

| School Picture Day | |  SubheadingMark your calendar and schedule those haircuts! Our Fall School Picture Day for students is on Thursday, October 18th. (There will be NO Mileage Club on this day). Picture make-up day will be on October 25th for students who are absent. |
| Halloween Carnival Volunteers Needed | | 
The Halloween Carnival is on Saturday, Oct. 27th from 11am-4pm. We need classroom game booth volunteers! Parents, please sign up for a 1-hour shift in your child's classroom booth. Sign-up sheets are posted at each class. You can sign up there or return the bright orange sign-up form that will come home with your child. Volunteers are also needed for Carnival set-up and break down.
