National Walk to School Week is October 1st - 5th. Walk to school next week to support a healthier lifestyle for your children and a safer, cleaner environment for our community.
Join the Holmes Walk to School Parade on Wednesday, October 3th at 8:30 a.m. Students and their parents will be meeting at the Clairemont Covenant Church at 5255 Mt. Ararat. Download the Walk to School Parade flyer for more information. Parent supervision is required.

| Join Mileage Club today! | |
 Article SubheadingMileage Club starts on October 2nd and meets every Tuesday & Thursday at 8:40-8:55 a.m at the backstops behind the school. It's a fun way to exercise, meet with your friends, and wake up your brain for the school day.
This FREE Program (funded by Holmes PTA) is for Grades 1-6. (K can participate with parent supervision). For more information and to register, visit our Mileage Club Web page.
Number assignments will be posted by Friday at the Mileage Club bulletin board. Check for your number prior to running on Tuesday.

Parents are invited to meet with Principal, Jonathan Saipe, in the auditorium on Friday, Oct 5th from 9:10-9:45 a.m.
 Come get updates about district and school news, learn a simple yet effective reading strategy, and have an opportunity to share ideas on how to make Holmes an even better school. From 9:45-10:15 a.m. parents will go to their child's classroom to read or participate in a learning activity. Starbucks Coffee will be provided by the Holmes PTA. |
| Sing 'n Speak Spanish After School Program | |
 Article SubheadingSing 'n Speak Spanish is an after school program held at Holmes for Grades 1-4 on Thursdays at 3:35 - 4:25. The class makes learning conversational Spanish easy and fun. It carries high educational goals but is playful -- with songs, humor, visuals, and more. Classes begin September 27th, but more registrants are needed or this class will be canceled.
