The Holmes PTA will hold its first PTA Association Meeting of the year on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at 5:30pm in the Cafeteria. PTA members will be asked to approve this year's Budget, Programs, and the year-end Audit. Come meet members of the PTA Board and learn about open Board positions:

Back to School Night

Back to School Night will take place immediately following the PTA Association Meeting on Thursday, September 20, 2012. Parents will have a chance to visit their child's classroom, meet his/her teacher and learn about plans for the school year.
 In order to accommodate parent work schedules and siblings in multiple grade levels, all classes will have 2 repeated parent-only presentations. Please choose to attend one of the following:
Presentation #1 6:00-6:40pm Presentation #2 6:45-7:30pm

YMCA Character Builders is offering childcare for Back to School night!
Date: Thursday, September 20th
Time: 5:45-7:45pm
Where: CB Room (Rm 18)
What: Let us watch your students while you learn all about their classes, teachers and other exciting things about the upcoming school year! We will be serving pizza, watching a movie, and offering FUN, FUN, FUN!
Price: Each child $10... Registered Character Builders get $2 OFF! (Thats only $8 A CHILD!)

| Fall Fundraiser | | Article SubheadingFall Fundraiser Brochures are coming home with your child TODAY for Wrap it Up and The Gourmet Collection. Help support our fantastic PTA funded programs and events such as Choral Music, Arts Attack and Mileage Club by participating in our fall fundraiser. Without your generous support these programs would not be possible at Holmes. Please remember to share this with co-workers, neighbors, friends and family.

| Community Events Volunteers Needed | | Article SubheadingWe are looking for volunteers to help with Community Events at Holmes. Community events are a fun, low cost or free event the PTA sponsors for our community. They include Movie Nights, Halloween Carnival, Winter Program, Spring Fling and Family Science Night.
If you and/or a group of your friends, are interested in helping support any of these events, please email Chris Herndon, the Community Events Chair, at csherndon@yahoo.com. We can use any and all help to put on these fun events for our kids and the community. |

If you plan to volunteer in your child's classroom or drive on field trips, you will need to fill out a NEW volunteer application for the 2012-2013 school year. Cub Scouting offers boys a year-round, family-oriented program that is filled with character-building activities. Holmes Cub Scout Pack 299 would like to invite families of boys in 1st-5th grade to join us for an evening of FUN at our Pack Meeting on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 6:30 PM in the Holmes Auditorium.
