For information about chair and board member duties and responsibilities, please attend our question and answer forum on Monday, March 21st at 3:35 p.m., in the lunch court. | PTA Association meeting, Mar. 24th | | |
 The next PTA Association meeting will take place this Thursday, March 24th from 6:30-7:30 p.m. At this meeting, PTA members will have the opportunity to adopt the revised bylaws that have been approved by the California State PTA. The Nominating Committee will also present their nominees for the 2011-2012 PTA Board to be elected at the April 28th annual election meeting. View Proposed Bylaw Amendments>>

This is our largest fundraiser of the year. Everyone is invited to come out and enjoy the day! Our goal is to raise over $20,000! These much needed funds will go towards educational enrichment and physical education equipment. Please get involved: sponsor a child; donate your time; get your business involved and corporate connections going!

| Holmes Student Council collecting donations! | | |
 The Holmes Student Council is collecting donations to help the people of Japan after the 9.0 magnitude earthquake and tsunami. Funds will be given to the American Red Cross Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami fund. Cash, checks or coin donations will be accepted until March 25th. Teachers will be collecting donations. Thank you for your support.

| Campus Gardens | | |
 Volunteers are needed to help with upkeep and watering; specifically in the 1st grade corridor, 2nd grade corridor and upper garden area. We are also in need of someone with a truck to get a load of free compost from the MiraMar landfill off Convoy. Marlo will help you unload it at the school. In addition, if anyone has any garden vegetable starters, fruit trees, large planters, child size tools or any other garden item donation, please contact Marlo Boyce at clairemontmom@att.net. Your help is APPRECIATED.

 From time to time, students get clothing soiled from art projects, food spills or personal accidents. The nurse's office is low on the following clothing items and is in need of donations! Please turn them into the front office.
Girls underpants & boys briefs for size 5-7 year olds

Boys shorts or pants for size 5-7 yr olds
For those who have used a donated clothing item(s) it is requested you launder them and RETURN them to the nurses office. They are only a courtesy loan. Thanks YOU. |

CAKE SHOW
Start thinking about our theme "Outer Space" for our 3rd annual Cake Show.
Professional, amateur, and junior categories. Trophies will be awarded for best in show and people's choice.
All edible cakes will be eaten at 3:30 p.m. after we sing happy birthday to the school. You can opt out if you don't want to participate. More information to follow.
 SILENT AUCTION
We are actively procuring items for our 3rd annual Silent Auction. If you own a business or know a business owner that would be interested in donating an item or would like to help procure items, please contact Hollie Karl.
GIFT BASKET RAFFLE
We need a volunteer coordinator to organize and collect donations from each classroom. Please contact Hollie Karl if you can coordinate our gift basket raffle.

| Girl Scout Troop 3294 needs our help! | | |
HEARTS OF SILVER
We are working on our Girl Scout Silver Award by collecting new or used blankets, jackets, coats, and any other clothing items to donate to the homeless and needy families of San Diego.
You can bring your donations to the East Clairemont Athletic Field (3491 Mount Acadia Blvd. San Diego, CA, 92111 ) on Sunday, March 27, 2011, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
