Missouri State Tax Credit Update |
We are so thankful! The Missouri Pregnancy Resource Center Tax Credit has been approved for the 2010-2011 fiscal year. NewBeginnings has submitted our application to be one of the recipients of the tax credit allocations. Once we are notified by the state when we are approved we will notify our donors. If you have given more than $100 to NewBeginnings from January to June 15, 2010 then we would encourage you to go ahead and turn in your paperwork as there is money in the State budget now that can be used by NewBeginnings.  Despite the thunderstorms and rain over 150 individuals gathered to walk for LIFE at the sixth annual NewBeginnings LifeWalk.
"We were so blessed this year," said Patti White, Executive Director. "We have such dedicated fundraisers and walkers. We had individuals who gave from all over the nation through our online fundraising tool. It was very exciting."
The event raised over $15,000 for NewBeginnings.
A special thank you to Tom Buttram from Gospel Tract Society, Inc. for the donation of printing of brochures and posters. Also to Jim McDermott from Spirit FM for serving as the master of ceremonies and brightening the day of the many walkers by giving away great CDs. |

Heartbeat International Conference |
 Several volunteers and staff members recently traveled to the Heartbeat International Conference in Orlando, FL. Local attendees heard presentations from Pam Tebow, Bristol Palin and many others, as well as music from Ron Kenoly and Rebecca St. James.
