Sales Tax Repeal Update

As expected, President Stroger has vetoed the
sales tax rollback approved last week by the County Board.
This means that at our next meeting, on December 3, we will have to discuss and vote
on it again. President Stroger is encouraging citizens to call their
commissioners and lobby them to change their vote, but so far there is no
indication that any are wavering in their commitment to decrease this
burdensome tax.
