Tentative Budget Passage Tomorrow
|
A Special Meeting of the Cook County Board of Commissioners will
convene tomorrow at 10 a.m. for the purpose of approving and adopting the
County budget for FY2010. In addition to sponsoring an amendment to
eliminate President Stroger's proposed creation of a Cook County Film
Office, I will also be pushing for budget cuts to bring
spending in line with the lowered tax receipts resulting from
yesterday's 0.5% rollback of the County sales tax.
For live updates on the progress during the meeting, you can follow me on Twitter. I will also send out an e-mail update regarding the budget when the meeting ends.
