Healthcare Commentary by County Doctor
Today the Chicago Sun-times printed an open letter to President Obama written by Dr. Lowell Feinstein of Cook County's Stroger Hospital.  Dr. Feinstein's stark commentary on the American healthcare system highlights some of the great, unspoken obstacles to successful healthcare reform.  The following is an excerpt from Dr. Feinstein's letter:

We are not solving the problems but encouraging poor behavior and the lack of accountability and responsibility. We need health care and public services, but we have a situation where fewer and fewer people are providing more and more for others.
