The participants in D.C.'s college football bowl game are set! The East Carolina University Pirates will meet the University of Maryland Terrapins in the 2010 Military Bowl presented by Northrop Grumman at RFK Stadium. The match-up pits one of the nation's best offensive teams against one of the nation's top defensive teams and is sure to be a great, competitive game on the field.
Tickets are priced at $25, $55 and $90 and can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com. Tickets for the popular Military Bowl Official Tailgate Party can be purchased for $20 with a game ticket. Remaining tailgate tickets will be available on an individual basis starting December 15. For additional bowl week information, please visit www.militarybowl.org.

After rocking the go-go scene for more than 40 years, D.C.'s own Chuck Brown is getting industry recognition with his first-ever Grammy nomination! Brown was nominated in the "Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals" category for his collaboration with Jill Scott and Marcus Miller for the song "Love." The 53rd Annual Grammy Awards take place Sunday, February 13, 2011.

The four-week series, entitled "Penguins/Capitals: Road to the 2011 Winter Classic," premieres December 15 and gives fans a behind-the-scenes look leading up to the 2011 Winter Classic at Heinz Field on New Year's Day. D.C.'s Falcons Fly High in Pop Warner Super Bowl. The Beacon House Falcons, from D.C.'s Edgewood Terrace neighborhood in Northeast, won the Jr. Pee Wee Division I National Championship for Pop Warner football. The Falcons, ages 8-11, defeated the Liberty City (Fla.) Warriors, 19-0. In the Jr. Midget Division I National Championship, the Watkins Hornets fell to the Florida City Razorbacks, 34-6. Congrats to both teams on successful seasons!
DC Rollergirls Championship Encore. Tis the season to be brawling! The DC Rollergirls return to the DC Armory track December 18 with an encore of last year's championship bout.
