Swim, Bike, Run... 2010 Nation's Triathlon
Sunday, September 12 West Potomac Park 6:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Get on your marks! Athletes from nearly 1,000 cities, 46 states and 14 countries will descend upon Washington, D.C. on September 12 to compete in the 5th annual Nation's Triathlon to Benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the fastest growing triathlon in the country. Competitor Magazine named the Nation's Tri one of the Top 10 urban races in the country. In addition to world-class competition, activities include live music, vendors and food at the JetBlue Finish Festival.
Want to get involved? There's still time! Volunteer for the Nation's Triathlon and enjoy great new perks from the WCSA. As the Official Volunteer Sponsor for this year's Nation's Tri, the WCSA is promoting volunteerism for sports and entertainment events in the region.

Summer may be winding down but the
soccer action is still hot and heavy at RFK Stadium with three D.C. United games and an international friendly match between
neighboring foreign countries this month. First up...the Crew times 2. United host the Columbus Crew in the U.S. Open Cup Semifinals on September 1 followed by an MLS matchup against the squad September 4. On September 7, El Salvador and Guatemala meet for an international friendly before United return to their home field against the Houston Dynamo September 25.

R u in? "NBC Sunday Night Football" opens its 2010 season with one of the most storied rivalries in sports when the Washington Redskins host the Dallas Cowboys September 12 at FedEx Field. Kickoff for new head coach Mike Shanahan and the revamped Redskins roster is 8:20 p.m. ET. The Redskins host eight regular season games this year including a date with the Houston Texans on September 19.

is September 20-26 and features collections from a dynamic group of designers from around the world.
The fierce event lineup includes the Bridal Collections show at the Textile Museum (Sept 20), the Corjor International Fashion Show at The Park at Fourteenth (Sept 24) and a showcase of International Couture Collections at the Embassy of France (Sept 26). Some events are free to the public, while a select few require tickets that range from $25 to $45 for general admission.
