Mixed martial arts returns to the District! Washington Combat presents "Battle of the Legends" at the DC Armory on May 15. The full fight card features nine fights including the main event between legends Pedro "The Rock" Rizzo and Gary "Big Daddy" Goodridge. Also scheduled to make his fighting debut is Francisco Salgueiro, a D.C. resident and rising MMA star. Military discounts are available for servicemen and women using the promo code "heroes." host 2018/2022 FIFA World Cup

In conjunction with the other U.S. bid markets, the Washington, D.C. Bid Committee is working to secure at least 1.5 million signatures in support of the U.S. bid. Show your support! 2010 EagleBank Bowl Date Set. D.C.'s college football game hit the money shot. The EagleBank Bowl received a four-year extension from the NCAA Football Issues Committee, securing its position in the District through 2013. This year's game is December 29 at RFK Stadium. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN at 2:30 p.m. ET. Get the scoop
