Valentine's Day Dance |
On Saturday Night February 13th the Lowell Wraparound Program had a Valentine's Day Dance at the Tewksbury United Methodist Church. Over the past several weeks the Wrap Program has provided eight activities for families in the area. A program funded through the Department of Mental Health, our goal is to provide typical activities for special needs children. Several of the families have stated they are amazed that they have been able to enjoy the dances as much as their children have.
The most recent dance provided great entertainment, crafts and great food. Most importantly though, families have the ability to let their children dance, play and not have to worry because if a child has a problem, there are staff available to help out so that the other family members can still have a good time.

Real Stories |
Real Stories are submitted by clients who want to share the success they had thanks to the support and services provided by Family Continuity.
Angela's Story
My name is Angela. I am 41 years old and the mother of two girls: Samantha 13 and Victoria 11. I have a college education and always held upper management positions. I led a very full life; weekends were for the girls. I have also been an addict most of my life. I have had times of being clean, but relapses were a regular part of life. My longest clean time was from 1997 to January 2006. But then, in a matter of weeks I lost my job, then my husband. I also lost the will to live. I spent all of 2006 doing nothing but getting high and because of it, I lost my girls. At that point, I did not care about anything or anybody. I was a depressed addict in a new city. I never wanted to leave my house, and did not know whom to turn to for help. However, my insurance company sent me a Family Continuity Community Support outreach counselor named Lindsay.
