Did you know you can...
Use Travel Penalties to discourage non-productive travel on specific streets?
The Travel Penalties feature allows you to enter a penalty for non-productive travel on a specific blockface to discourage a route from using that street when it is not being serviced. For example, if you want to avoid traveling on local roads near a school except for when those roads must be serviced, you can enter a penalty on each blockface to avoid and the travel path will consider other streets.
See the help document for more information. And make sure you check out our Skill-Builder Series Webinar on Travel Penalties on Thursday, October 21, 2010.

 | Registration Open for INTERSECT 2010: Conference in the Cloud
|
This year, we're taking the RouteSmart Users' Conference to a place everyone can get to easily - without the hassles of navigating airports, paying hefty travel expenses, and losing valuable work time. We're taking it to the cloud. Join us for this year's virtual conference, INTERSECT 2010: Conference in the Cloud, from November 1-3, 2010 (new dates). Like our past conferences, peers and experts from across the industry will provide key information about RouteSmart products, industry trends, best practices, and strategies for maximizing your RouteSmart investment. But unlike in the past, you can enjoy it all from the best seat in the house - your office.
Remember, this year the conference is complementary for all clients with a current maintenance subscription, and there's no limit on the number of people who can attend!
Click here for the conference agenda, registration, and other information.
We'll "see" you in the cloud....

 | Contacting RouteSmart Technical Support
| Our technical support staff may be helpful and friendly, but in truth, no one really wants to have to contact them. You don't wake up in the morning and wish for a software error message to appear. But if you need to reach out for support, you want them to respond and to help you solve your concerns.
That's what our support staff wants as well. We want to respond as quickly as possible and get you back on your way to solving your routing problems. To ensure that our support team can address your needs in a timely manner, we suggest these best practices when contacting technical support:
- Use one of the standard methods for reaching support.
- If you have an error message on the screen, leave it on the screen or take a screen capture to provide the exact wording.
- Tell us exactly what you were trying to accomplish when the issue occurred, and what steps you followed.
- Know which version of the software you're using (you can check to see which versions are currently supported by viewing our Product Life Cycle Status and our Product Compatibility Chart).
- Try to avoid going directly to a specific technical support representative. If that representative is out of the office, an email or voicemail may not be answered until they return, delaying our response to your support inquiry. Use one of the methods listed above to ensure the most timely response.
Remember, our team is here to help. You can help us to be more effective by following the steps above. |
