The Board of Directors of Lanikai Elementary Public Charter School is pleased to announce the appointment of Ed H. Noh as School Director. Mr. Noh comes to Lanikai with a strong background in elementary administration and teaching. Most recently, Mr. Noh has been interim principal of Kaneohe Elementary School. In 2009-10, he was Complex Academic Officer for the Windward District, where he worked collaboratively with schools in restructuring and supported all Castle/Kahuku complex schools. Prior to coming to Hawaii, Mr. Noh was for five years principal of the Lawton Elementary School and assistant principal of the Madison Middle School in Seattle, Washington. Mr. Noh is a licensed elementary teacher in Washington, having taught pre-school, kindergarten, and fourth, fifth and seventh grades. His special area of interest is mathematics education. Mr. Noh also was an instructor in educational technology in the teacher education program at Antioch University, Seattle. Ed and his wife, Helen, are the parents of two sons, who attend public school in the Moanalua District.
