Wednesday, September 29
The Kaneohe Marine Corps Band will join us at assembly tomorrow morning to treat us to some of the best music we'll hear all year. This is always a big hit with the kids and the staff. If you'd like to start your day by joining us, please come - but bring your own chair. We'll meet under the banyan tree.
Thursday, September 30
All schools in Hawaii are required to acknowledge the 223rd anniversary of the ratification of the Constitution. Our students are learning to sing sections of the Preamble to the Constitution; you've probably heard them singing their parts at home. If you would like to hear them performing the School House Rock version of the Preamble, please stay for morning assembly beginning at 7:55 on Thursday, 9/30. Your kids have been practicing all week and it should be a great performance. There will be a quick game-show style quiz with 6 history questions after the performance and Lanikai T-shirts for prizes. We plan to have them off to their classrooms by 8:15.

Tickets: Presale $6.00 before and after school - week of October 18th.
Tickets will be $8.00 at the door. Price includes choice of meat or vegetarian chili, rice, caesar salad, drink, and one dessert.

Thank you to all of the wonderful parents who have signed on as classroom parents. Our teachers really appreciate all that you do for them. If you are not sure who your room parent is contact your child's teacher and she/he can put you in touch so you can volunteer to assist them. Our parent volunteers play a vital role in our school and we are grateful for all that you do!
