From the desk of the Principal
This announcement is for all parents whose children use the lanes from Kawailoa Road to the back of the campus when coming to or going home from school.

Many students are in the habit of riding bikes or walking along those lanes as a short cut.

Parents should be aware that these are private lanes, not City and County roads, and are not open to autos or people who do not have permission to be there.

At the request of the residents of the lane that runs beside The Jesus Church and for reasons of safety and liability, effective as of Monday, May 17, the lane is closed to foot, bike, or auto traffic headed to or from the school.  The gate between the campus and the lane will be locked.

Please see that your children walk or ride along Kaiwailoa Road and Alala Road to the main school entrance.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

PTSA Update

SPRING FLING Friday, 5/21 6:00 - 9:00 PM

Mark your calendars for this Friday as Lanikai PTSA has an evening planned for the entire family.  Join us for a spaghetti dinner, scrumptious desserts, bouncy house, movie, cakewalk, and good old fashioned family fun!

PTSA is also in need of cake donations for the cakewalk.  Donated cakes need to be in a disposable container and can be dropped off at the library anytime Friday.  Your help in making this event a success is truly appreciated.

Nominations for 2010/11 PTSA Board Now Being Accepted

All positions on the PTSA board will be vacant as of September 2010. Please send an email to Ann_Pederson@notes.K12.HI.US if you would like to nominate yourself or someone else for one of the positions. Include a brief bio on why you are running and what you hope to accomplish by serving on the board. Nominations will be presented at the August PTSA meeting and voting will then take place. New officers will be installed at the September meeting. Current officers will work with the incoming board to create a smooth transition. The available positions are: President, Vice President (2), Secretary, Membership Director, and Treasurer. A copy of the by laws and descriptions of the positions are available in the PTSA drawer in the office if you have any questions.
Lost and Found

Please check out the "new" lost and found cabinet in the café for missing items before the last day of school. Items that are left in the cabinet over the summer will be donated to a local charity.
Moving over the summer?

Please stop by the office and let us know if you will not be returning next school year.  In order to withdraw you will need a Student's Certificate of Release.  This Release can be issued on your last day of school from the school office.
