Scientific Presentations Selected 
        
    More than 40 posters and 40 oral presentations in the categories of Basic ScienceClinical and Translational Research and Public Health/Epidemiology will be presented at the 2009 Cancer Research Symposium.
     Oral presentations will take place Friday, November 6, from 8 am - 11:30 am; click here for the schedule. Each track will be presenting concurrently in adjacent rooms. Abstracts of all presentations are available by clicking on the category areas above.
      Posters will be on display throughout the conference; however, presenters will be on hand to discuss their research on Thursday, November 5,  from 4:30 - 6 pm. For a list of poster presentations, click here.

     The 2010 Georgia Cancer Coalition Distinguished Cancer Clinicians and Scientists attending the 2009 Cancer Research Symposium will receive their official award certificates at the event. Tour Complex Carbohydrate Research Center
 
   UGA CCRC If you would like to see UGA's CCRC NMR facility, which boasts three high-field NMR spectrometers (300-, 500-, and 600-MHz), fully equipped for biomolecular studies of liquids and solids, be sure to sign up for the tour on Thursday, November 5, from 1 - 2  pm.
    The Georgia Research Alliance-University of Georgia 800-MHz NMR spectrometer is also located in the CCRC and is a regional resource for high-field NMR studies of biological macromolecules. CCRC was one of the first institutions world-wide to receive a Varian Unity Inova 900-MHz spectrometer, the centerpiece of the Southeast Collaboratory for Biomolecular NMR, funded by the National Institute of General Medical Sciences and GRA.
