Youth Walk set for Thursday, July 30
| The 2009 Youth Walk is around the corner! We have 900 youth & staff scheduled to walk the New Haven Green on the morning of Thursday, July 30.

No Coalition Meetings in July or August
|
Monthly coalition meetings are held the third Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m to 12 noon. The next member meeting will be Wednesday, September 16 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. We are changing locations to meet at the Regional Workforce Development Board, at 560 Ella T. Grasso Blvd., so we can all have more elbow room! Please come and invite your colleagues. NOTE: We do not meet in July and August.

Member Highlight: Jesus Children Bible Academy

With God's
grace, Jesus Children Bible Academy (JCBA) originated in Fair Haven in 1991, and received its 501(c) 3 in
1996. JCBA is a
diverse non denominational Christian education "Bible Study Program." JCBA
provides a biblical education program for youth twelve to eighteen years of age,
and young adults in New Haven and surrounding areas based on Christian
teaching. The program design promotes youth leadership, and guidance to youth
seeking an understanding of spirituality, and their innermost strengths. The
programs provide youths with the understanding they seek, as they study the
scriptures, and learn about faith, purpose, ability, and being responsive to
themselves, family and community.
JCBA as a
nonprofit provides an instructive biblical, youth leadership, mentor, and
behavior guidance program. Our program objectives are to inspire spiritual
awareness, cultivate manners, foster academic excellence, promote leadership and
social economic achievements. Our Bible Study Program encourages and challenges
youth to understand spiritual wisdom, respect, and their responsibility to God,
themselves, and others.
Jesus Children
Bible Academy provides youths with an enjoyable biblical program that assist
them each year, from October through May, in enhancing their spiritual,
academic, and behavioral attributes. The JCBA fee based program "Behavior
Academic Development Services," (B.A.D.'s) trains agencies youths
in the development of interpersonal skills like Manners, Morals, and Respect,
and encourages them to have fun while learning. The primary aspiration of all
Jesus Children Bible Academy programs is to support the enhancement of youth,
