WTS Update: It's Durham!
Durham Will Handle Orange County's Trash!

Thanks to the new county manager coupled with the work of our awesome volunteers, the BoCC decided to send the county's trash to Durham for the next 3-5 years - maybe longer.  They also reaffirmed their commitment to
keep landfills out of rural Orange County.  If it weren't for your support, we suspect that the county would be bulldozing the Howell Property today!  This is an incredible win for rural Orange County in the short and long term.  Read on...
Rural Trash Services and Bradshaw Quarry
Next week (Tuesday - December 15th), the BoCC will decide what to do about trash and recycling for rural residents, including the fate of the Bradshaw Quarry Convenience Center.  OCV leaders will present the results of the Talkin' Trash Survey and recommendations about convenience centers and curbside services.  For more, click here.
Deep Space Images at Maple View

We're so excited about our deep space images, that we are setting up a display at Maple View this weekend.  For more information about the photos and other holiday ideas that support Orange County Voice, click here.
