Dear Neighbor:

Everyone's "talkin' trash" -- at least Orange County is.  So Orange County Voice developed the Talkin' Trash Survey to allow rural residents to join the conversation.  The online survey can be accessed through the link below.  Paper copies of the survey are at locations throughout the rural county.
Click here for more information on the locations.

Here's what's happening.  The County's "Solid Waste Workgroup Plan" is about to be issued.  The plan is expected to recommend new services ranging from improving convenience centers to extending curbside pickup services to every rural household.  New fees are coming, too.  Input from rural residents is urgently needed.  (
Click here for details about the county's plan.)

So - if you live outside town limits, please click on the link below to be taken to the survey.  It has 39 quick and easy questions that are designed to understand how you handle your trash today and what services and fees you'd like to see in the future.

Survey results will be reported to the County Commissioners and to the public in November.  Individual responses will be kept strictly confidential.

Please take a few minutes to complete this important survey.  Also - please spread the word by forwarding this email to your friends, family, and others that live in rural Orange County.  Every voice counts.  Here's the survey:
