End of Summer / Autumn Fun :

Annual Alumni, Friends, Family, Staff & Volunteers Picnic was fun for all !

Music provided a terrific backdrop
What's better than sunshine and music ?!

 Music provided a terrific backdrop
to what proved to be a great end to
the summer and transition to Autumn
at Webster Place. Talented folks from
all over performed to make the day
extra special.

As usual, Martha and friends provided
some great food for all. Tie Dye shirts,
face painting, train rides, a tug of war
and many other fun events provided
something for everyone.

The summer project, of constructing a
very professionally built brick patio,
was finished just days before the event.

Most important, alumni and current
residents got a great chance to mingle,
catch up, swap stories, are reenergize.
They also got to participate in a meeting
together.  Sobriety can be great for your social life. Just look at what it's doing for all of us who spend time
at or around this mighty place called Webster Place in Franklin Nh.

The community is one of the most powerful aspects of what "works" about  AA, NA and 12 step programs in
general and especially about Webster Place in particular. The community, the fellowship, the bonds made
with those like ourselves, is one of the powers (greater than ourselves alone) that helps us stay sober. Many
people say they feel the spirituality of this community when it comes together like this. It's hard to not feel it.
Many alumni have stayed sober since leaving ( a recent poll showed that a majority were still sober), some
had slipped, some relapsed - but all were drawn back for renewal and hope and the strength of the
community that they have come to know and care about, and to share another day of sobriety together.

Apple Pie
Homemade Hot Apple Pie

In addition to the picnic - residents have had a great autumn doing
additional program enhancements including harvesting pumpkins,
apple picking, and enjoying home made apple goods.
