| Webster Place Recovery Center Update
Feb 2010 - Inside: News website, new recipe, news, facts, and a thank you ! |
|
Greetings!
Since we opened our doors 2 years ago, nearly 300 men and women have helped each other
with their recovery from drug and alcohol abuse and improving their quality of life.
Many people, working as a TEAM, have made, and continue to
make this possible.....including you !
Many of you are dedicated to the vision & mission, and give with skills or money.
You donate furniture or other supplies. Some have re-constructed, some farm. You help
spread the word. Some help organize and lead. Some help as staff,
some as board volunteers.
Residents & alumni help by mentoring more recent residents. Some help by driving, some
by cooking, some by cleaning up. Local community members help, while
members of the recovery communities share their experience, strength & hope.
Referring doctors and facilities.... and facilities we refer to help. Family members & friends help.
In fact, you all help Webster Place help those in need. All with one focus:quality recovery.
Residents get help to get sober, and give help to stay sober.
The program works, because the community works.
Thank you for your continued support !

Drug & Alcohol facts:
First: There is solution for recovery from all addictions....
Heroin: purity varies greatly, a fact that makes heroin use that much more dangerous.
Too much pure heroin can result in respiratory arrest and death.
For those users with already compromised physical health, respiratory complications can result
due to the drug's depressing effects on respiration.
Chronic users may develop collapsed veins, infection of the heart lining and valves, abscesses,
cellulitis, and liver disease. But there is hope - recovery is possible.... with help.
