Greetings!

Thank you to everyone who came out for the Dr. Chapman marriage event last month! It was a fantastic success.

Dr. Chapman shared his insights as a pastor, best-selling author, and as an expert on family and marriage. Some of the topics he discussed were having a healthy view of marriage, including The Four Seasons of Marriage, Understanding & Processing Anger, and Making Love a Way of Life.

Morris, Chapman & Buckingham
Dr. Chapman was kind enough to sit down and chat with executive director, Dr. Christine Buckingham, as well as Dr. Jack Morris, pastor of Largo Community Church, where the event was held.

We are so grateful that God continues to allow us to serve this region therapeutically, as consultants with church and ministry leaders, and as a provider of excellent advanced clinical training for mental health professionals.

Stay tuned for news of even more upcoming events!

Dan Zeiss, MA, Intern

Dan is currently pursuing a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Marymount University in Arlington, VA. He recently completed a practicum placement at Fort Belvoir's Chaplain Family Life Center where he worked with members of the military and their families. He collaborated with clients on a wide range of issues, including those struggling with depression, addiction, couples seeking marriage counseling, and children coping with the deployment of a parent. As a veteran of the Marine Corps, Dan found this experience very rewarding and he will always hold this population very close to his heart. Prior to this, he volunteered at a crisis pregnancy center in Northern Virginia and at the Northern Virginia Mental Health Institute in Falls Church, VA.

As a practicing Roman Catholic, Dan is passionate about integrating the Christian faith with sound counseling approaches that respect the nature and dignity of the human person. He believes that faith and sound science are never opposed to one another, but complement each other to the benefit of the individual. It was during his two years as a seminarian, preparing for the priesthood, that Dan was inspired to change course and pursue a vocation in mental health counseling.

Dan especially enjoys working with adults, and couples looking to prepare for, or improve their marriage.
