Safety First for MWHS Student Drivers--
State Farm's Celebrate My Drive™
Event

Mound Westonka High School students came out in force for State Farm's Celebrate My Drive™ event Sept. 15 at Ridgedale Mall.

The high school will find out later this fall if they won a $100,000 grant from State Farm Insurance--determined by the number of votes received during an online vote and student attendance at the event.

MWHS Assistant Principal Marty Fischer said, "I can't say enough to everyone in our district--from parents to students to everyone who may have voted--for all of your votes and efforts that went into our attempt to win $100,000."

Feed My Starving Children MobilePack at MWHS--
Help Fight Worldwide Hunger
About 1,000 people are fed every day at Mound Westonka High School. But on Nov. 2 and 3, MWHS hopes to provide 100,000 meals as a MobilePack site for Feed My Starving Children (FMSC).

In order to make the MobilePack a reality, it is necessary to raise the $22,000 needed to produce the meals and to recruit volunteers--the event is open to the entire community.
