Summer Institute Prepares for Global Economy--

"China Experience 2012"

Archery Elementary State ChampsIn its fifth year the Westonka Summer Institute returns to China adding a fourth city to the itinerary.

"This year we're excited to add Nanjing to our itinerary. Nanjing is another different part of China that will help the WSI participants see a more complete picture of the country. It's a major city in the Chinese business culture, so it will be another great comparison point for the students in their studies," according to WSI lead teacher Ann Baumann.

A Warm Westonka Welcome--
Baby Bags from ECFE

Archery Elementary State ChampsThe youngest members of  the community and their parents are receiving a warm Westonka welcome to the district in the form of new baby bags stocked with information and gifts.

The baby bags, which are sent to new parents in the district and neighboring communities, include a personal welcome from Superintendent Kevin Borg--"from our families to yours."

MWHS Winter Band Concert--

Concert, Symphonic Bands & Wind Ensemble

Archery Elementary State Champs

The 3-Minute Nutcracker gave a festive feel to the opening of Monday night's Winter Band Concert directed by Mrs. Gretchen Chilson. Written by Pyotr Il'yich Tchaikovsky and arranged by Lloyd Conley, this light-hearted take on the classic ballet rolls all the major melodies of the full Nutcracker Suite into one cheery compilation.
