Morsels From the Editor
I hope you all had a blessed and holy Easter!
In Personal Pondering, I share my thoughts on learning to just Be with the Lord in silence.
In Prayer Byte, I share a poem that I found and really love. It says it all about finding God in the present moment so I did not add my own commentary. Sometimes, less is more.
I am taking a poll. I am in the process of changing my Catholic blog's design. I have two designs that I like for different reasons and am not sure which one to choose. So I need to know which one my readers would enjoy visiting more often. Please help me by voting in the poll that is on one of the blogs. Please vote after looking at both blogs. It will only take a minute!!

Thank you for your input!

Prayerful Quote
Christ departed from our sight that we might return to our heart, and there find him. For he departed, and behold, he is here.
- St. Augustine
Personal Pondering
by Colleen Spiro
In the Prayer Byte article below this one, I shared a poem which is very meaningful to me. I often think I have to DO something to find God. I have to Do my devotions and Do my prayers for the day and Do my spiritual reading and Do my ministry.
All of those things are good and important, please do not misunderstand me. But, in order to find God, we really do not need to Do anything. We do not need to accomplish anything. We just need to Be.
We don't make spiritual life happen, it is already happening. God is working in our lives right now. The spiritual journey is about experiencing what is already happening, rather than trying to make it happen.
Thomas Merton - "We have what we seek, it is there all the time, and if we give it time, it will make itself known to us."
Ahhhh. If we give it time. That is the key, of course.
When Lent began, I was whining about not getting enough silent time with the Lord. I corrected that during Lent. I spent at least an hour in silence with God almost (I have to be honest) every day. Did it make a difference?
Yes, most certainly. I am less scattered. I am more centered. I feel like I am back in touch with God more. I feel like I am doing what the Rule of St. Benedict says - Keep the reverence of God always before our eyes.
Well, not always. But I am praying for that grace. I am staying in touch with God better than before. I am at peace about that.
How about you? How did your Lent work out?

I would like to share this poem with you written by Ann Lewin:

You do not have to look for anything, just
Look.
You do not have to listen for specific sounds, just
Listen.
You do not have to accomplish anything, just
Be.
And in the Looking, and the Listening, and the Being, find
Me.
