Neptune and Chiron
in Pisces

Preparing for the Shift
in Consciousness

Part 1

Neptune by transit, has been at the last degree of Aquarius
and on the cusp of Pisces since March of 2010.

Moving into Pisces, March through August of 2011, Neptune
also came into conjunction with transiting Chrion.  It's in
February of 2012, that Neptune will return to Pisces and
remain in this sign through January, 2026.

Chiron transits the sign of Pisces from March of 2011, through
February of 2019.  For the next seven years, Neptune and
Chiron will be in close promixity to one another.

Neptune is one of the three 'outer' planets, which pioneering
astrologer, Dane Rudhyar, (1895-1985), refers to as
"Galatic Ambassadors."  Once planets move beyond the
galatic center, the essence of their influence is felt in
more subtle ways, and considered universal in nature.

The actual manner in which planetary energies are experienced
and express by individuals, is connected to their own level
of understanding and consciousness.  Individuals whose
consciousness is more refined and expanded, are more
likely to integrate the subtle energies well.

The actual alignment of Neptune and Chiron in Pisces for
almost eight years, (Summer of 2011 through 2019), invites us
to open ourselves to the highly subtle, energetic frequences
carried by Neptune and Chrion, for the time is upon us to
prepare for this upcoming shift in consciousness.

Doesn't it sound so 'Star Wars', to hear the words 'shift' in
consciousness?  What does it mean?  It's really about fine
tuning an instrument, and our 'being' is the instrument.
It's about become more aware.  We can start wherever we are
right now.  Fundamentally, we begin by:

 -  hushing the endless chatter going on in our minds
 -  we take time to sit quietly, and place our attention on
how we are feeling and notice where we are
        directing our attention.
 -  we pay attention to where and how we feel
challenged in each moment.  When we do this often,
we learn to put our finger on what is really
taking place so we can address it effectively
 -  we notice when our ego feels insecure and what
tactic it chooses to place us back in control
 -  we accept it when we feel the need for rest or when we
         need to take a nap
 -  we are loving and patient toward ourselves when our
emotions, thoughts and our energy levels seem to be
         fluctuating and unstable
 -  when we experience 'resistance', and see ourselves
fight or withdraw from a situation, rather than stay
present with it, imagine pushing the 'Reset' button,
breathing into the situation and attempting to come into a
         balanced state of mind

How do we know there's going to be a shift?

There are many ways to come by this information, but
tracking the movement of the outer planets thoughout
history, and noting what took place in societies when
these planets were in challenging patterns, is really
informative.  We can review circumstances
at the end of an era, where the turning point took place,
and subsequently the birth of the new era.

Astrologer and historian, Richard Tarnas, author of
Cosmos and Psyche, speaks to this concept in great detail
in his book.  Click here to read an interview conducted
by Mountain Astrologer:

As we come to the end of an era, there is practical evidence of
things not working as well in society as they have in the past, to
the point where we can also witness the breaking down of
fundamental aspects of society, which contributes to a shake up
in the psyche of individuals, but most especially, for those most
identified with the working of the physical universe, and who
have relied upon the seeming security and stability offered by
external sources.

It takes time and patience to go through the process of adjusting
to a major transformative shift, especially when the new way
forward, the new vision, seems to be understood by relatively
few individuals.  It's also comforting to know that the earth
and her population have gone through these cycles from the
beginning of time.  It's both natural and stressful at the same
time.

It's also true that it seems to be a human trait to dislike and
resist change.  Rather than embracing the new, we seem
designed to hang onto the remnants of the old as long as we
possibly can.

We are at the 'cusp' of the old, and the 'precipise' of the new
at ths time.  The two outer planets, Uranus and Pluto, in a
challenging aspect to one another from 2010 through 2018,
I believe, represent the last stages of ruling from the masculine
model, which is connected to expressing and cultivating power,
order and control, through the use of individual willpower and
personal ambition.

Neptune in Pisces represents the birth of the feminine, which
promotes and supports working together to achieve untiy,
by honoring the way of the heart, of love, acceptance and having
respect for others point of view, striving to be in alignment
with the Divine will and in celebration of our connection to
spirit, to God.  Because of the focus of Neptune to the heart
energy - we will be called upon to open our heart and live from
the heart.  Among other things, Neptune is associated with love,
unconditional love, romance, compassion, hope, longing, devotion,
the mystical experience and the longing to be under the
umbrella of Divine Grace.

The need to embrace the feminine model is for the purpose
of achieving balance, not to replace or discount the masculine
model.

Chiron  discovered in 1977, is the better known by its description
as the 'wounded' healer.  Chiron is connected with healing of
collective behaviours, psychological patterns, which ultimately have
created suffering and wrong understanding for humanity, and which
are responsible for feeling disconnected from our true spiritual essence
and soul purpose.

Chiron also refers to those who carry the gift of healing, who know
the path toward wholeness and connection.  This eight year period
in which Neptune and Chrion are closely connected, will result in a
huge influx of psychic and healing energy, whch will become
available to individuals, so that they might assist in preparing others
to carry more light.

All transformative processes, much like the alchemic model, involve
purification, integration, and in this case, frequency adjustment.
The dark, denser, unconscious energies are removed, or integrated
to make space for more light and consciousness in the vessel.

When it comes to these processes taking place in individuals,
energy needs to move.  We may feel the need to change our diet,
because we cannot digest heavier foods.  We may needs lots
more sleep, and become aware of our energy levels and emotions
fluctuating more rapidly.  We may especially feel spaced out
at times and feel somewhat uninterested in certain aspects of
our lives, which can create a dilemma, as we struggle to be
proactive and on top of our commitments and responsibilities.
We may also feel overwhelmed, as we attempt to keep up with
what appears to be a never ending shifting of priorities.

Many of us will find ourselves carrying inner conflict as to
whether we need to use our individual will to make changes
happen in our lives, to take the bull by the horns, so to speak,
or wait until a clearer picture emerges, where we can be sure
of the scope and specifics of what we need to change and,
how we might implement the changes.

In Part 2 of this article, I will take an indepth look at the areas
of life directly influenced by Neptune's transit through Pisces.
