Angels Against Abuse - "Sexting Isn't Sexy"
The Denver District Attorney's Office has teamed up with Project PAVE and the East High School Angels Against Abuse Club to create a series of public service announcements geared towards young teens. The PSAs will feature messages about the dangers of "sexting" (sending sexually explicit messages and/or photos via text message), teen dating violence and other relationship issues.
On June 17, 2009 the first of the series premiered on YouTube. The video will be linked through social networking sights and e-mail blasts in hopes of reaching a large audience off teens.
Angels Against Abuse (AAA) is a student club at East High School that formed out of a collaboration between Project PAVE and concerned teens. AAA's mission is to raise awareness about teen dating violence and educate their peers about healthy relationships.
