Planning for the Future Church       of All Nations

With your help this past year POBLO-TX provided food, clothing, furniture, school supplies, Christmas gifts and ESL classes to over 60 refugee families here in the North Dallas area. The kindness and positive support from your donations and gifts are what made this possible.

Winter is the season for vision-planning, budgeting, and contemplating on what God has prepared for us in advance for us to do Ephesians 2:10-11 for the coming months ahead. As you plan for your coming year, remember that hunger and common family needs is an on going problem especially with our economic recession in full swing.

Warm smiles, friendly eyes, genuine gratitude - are reflected  in the faces of the refugee families we meet. They know they have a safe haven to turn to when they need a friend to listen or just need  a few hours each week to learn  English or stop by to pick up some bread or extra food.

Again this year, with your prayers, support and God's vision for POBLO-TX's ministry  to the fast growing refugee community, your help will  provides an excellent opportunity for us to share the Gospel.  By meeting their simple basic needs with a smile, a word of encouragement and letting them know that we are here and we care, will open the door to a world of opportunities for them to know  Jesus.  'For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; Matthew 25:35

Contact POBLO-TX at 214-368-1371 ext 241 to arrange for donations and food drives in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. No donation is too small! After all the biggest gift you can give is hope for the future and letting families know that somebody cares. Thank you for your past, present  and future support!

The Lutheran Student Center is a ripe Mission Field of sharing the love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ among students of All Nations.  As reflected in the pictures to the right you will see our Wednesday Free Student Lunch & devotions, 'Thursday Biryani' night specials, sharing the ministry with the 55+ and the English conversational partners.  Not to forget the Big Howdy Events, Concerts on the Deck, Thanksgiving Dinner, Christmas Party and Caroling around the UTA campus, Prayer concerts and much more.

Building bridges through relationships, by showing a heart of genuine love and concern, and praying for the needs of the students of All Nations.  These ministries gives us the opportunity of planting seeds of precious memories. This is the least we hope that our students will take  back with them to their native countries. Here at the Lutheran Student Center we are becoming  a family of students of All Nations 'Declares the Lord'  Rev 7:9-11.

Refugees: Persons unable or unwilling to return to their country because of persecution or a well-founded fear of persecution; refugees are admitted overseas, and asylees apply in the U.S. Both may apply to become LPR (Lawful Permanent Resident ) after one year. Of the post-1980 refugee arrivals, 1.3 million are now LPRs (, and 1.3 million are now naturalized  citizens.

There are many myths surrounding refugees. Often what we see/hear in the media gives a very narrow perspective of who refugees are. In fact, many refugees have been highly educated, persons of influence in their country of origin.

Adam was a student and now is one of our beloved ESL teachers.  Adam is from Iraq and  is trying to get his Veterinary license here in the US.
