Teens Participate in
The Color Run!
Seven teens from the UMOM Teen Activity Program (TAP) got the chance to be a part of THE COLOR RUN last month. Teens spent four hours volunteering their time to assist with registration and t-shirt distribution earlier in the week before taking part in the 5K race (Jan 28). Though the teens and staff all started in white shirts, they definitely did not end in white! Running through different color stations at each kilometer mark, the teens all found themselves completely covered in color by the finish line. It was a fantastic event that none of the participants will soon forget.

Volunteer Spotlight: Phoenix National Charity League (NCL)
The Phoenix Chapter of the National Charity League's class of 2012 painted a mural on the wall of the playground in UMOM's Child Development Center.
A group of over 25 mothers and daughters led by UMOM donor Terri Ann Greenberg spent the entire weekend transforming the wall for the children of UMOM.
Thank you Phoenix NCL Class of 2012!

In the Summer 2011 edition of Moments we told you the story of Monica and her dream of home ownership that was coming true thanks to UMOM, Bank of America, City of Phoenix Housing Services and Habitat for Humanity.
After working for the past two years to rebuild her credit and putting in over 100 hours of "sweat equity", Monica and her two children will move into their home next month.
