A
special thanks goes to Monica Butrigio for taking the
initiative to organize and bring the Swap-o-Rama to the Silver
Spring community. Neighbors and residents of Silver
Spring swapped, and engaged their imagination to fashion and recreate
new items for their wardrobe. Young children also got to contribute
their
talents through craft making and learned how to sew from savvy
swappers.
The Swap-O-Rama also served as a clothing drive to benefit families
affected by
the earthquake in Haiti.
Thanks
to all the volunteers and partners who participated at the Silver Spring
Swap-O-Rama to make it a welcoming, fun filled and creative community
event. Please
join the Swap-O-Rama facebook group
to be notified about future Swap-O-Rama's in Silver Spring.
