Remembering
A Local Activist

Harry Sanders

IMPACT remembers Harry Sanders, who passed away on March 10 from cancer. As a lifelong transit activist, Harry was truly committed to building a thriving, multicultural Silver Spring. He walked his talk by partnering with others, using his passion for better transportation to shape a vision of quality neighborhoods for all. By practicing inclusion in a truly authentic way, he uncovered the voices of his diverse neighbors and supported their collective empowerment. Rest in peace, Harry.
