Silver Spring supports local Haitians in need

The Silver Spring community is coming together in many ways to support the local Haitian Community in this time of great need.  Some of the amazing things that are happening are:

Weekly gatherings at the Caribbean Help Center:  Every Friday, Haitian families and friends gather to support each other cope with the aftermath of the earthquake, share personal stories of families, get support from volunteer social service providers. Please call Evans Faustin at (301) 593-6922 for more information and to know how to refer others to the meetings.

Mixed Unity: Youth leaders in Silver Spring are organizing a supplies drive in Downtown Silver Spring.  To find out how you can volunteer and support their efforts, visit the event Facebook Page.
