that Dejabel Café, a local business and a community space in Wheaton - was facing
eviction, Monica Buitrago, graduate of IMPACT's leadership development program
organized a community effort to help keep the business stay open. Monica is
currently volunteering most of her time at the café, supporting day to day
operations and using her leadership skills to bring awareness on how
residents can help save a great community cafe and local business. Contact

Men Can Stop Rape and the Men of Strength (MOST) Club are pleased to
announce its eighth annual Black History Month Film Festival - Solutions through the Filmin Maryland.
Centering on middle school school youth, the festival will
showcase two award-winning film documentaries: "SAY IT LOUD" and "MEN
II BOYS." Each film will be followed by panel workshops in which
special guests and audience members deliberate and find genuine
solutions to the issues reflected in the films. MOST Club is a program of Men Can Stop Rape, a nonprofit
that works worldwide in engaging young men to end violence against

The George Washington University School of Engineering and Applied
Science is currently seeking student applications for its 2010-2011
computer security and information assurance scholarship. This
scholarship is only available to students who will be completing their
studies at MC in May and are looking to enroll at a four-year school

educational initiative for migrants, immigrants, and their families in
the United States. The Family Scholarship Program is intended to help two members of
the same family move up the economic development ladder through
education. Scholarships may be used for tuition for college/university
education language acquisition classes, technical/skill training,
and/or financial literacy. All applicants must be 18 or older. The country of origin for at

MONTGOMERY COUNTY PLANNING BOARD SEEKING CHAIRMAN The Montgomery County Council is
seeking applicants to fill a position on the Montgomery County Planning Board
for the expiring term of Royce Hanson (Democrat). His term will expire on June
14, 2010. Dr. Hanson has indicated that he will not apply for reappointment.
The Council expects to designate the appointee as chairman. In appointing a
chairman for the board, the Council will establish the salary for the chairman
within a range of $160,000 to $180,000. Applications must be received no later
