Children's Mercy Health Care, Kansas City, MO
Children's Mercy Hospital is a 314 bed hospital system located in Kansas City, a metropolitan area of over 2 million.  There are currently three positions available at this nationally renowned hospital.
PNP Hematology
As a hemophilia treatment center that serves the entire region, Children's Mercy leads a four state network.  Its sickle cell network alone follows over three hundred patients.  With a strong, grant-based program Children's Mercy looks to be at the top of hemophilia and sickle cell treatment in Kansas-Missouri region for years to come.
PNP Oncology
Division includes a 25 bed hepa-filtered inpatient unit with 5 BMT beds.  The Children's Mercy unit is one of the largest in the United States, with over 150 new oncology diagnoses annually. 
PNP CVICU
Housed in state-of-the art facilities, the heart surgery program at Children's Mercy is one the premiere programs in the United States Midwest.  It is the only site in the 150 county region surrounding Children's Mercy that offers cardiac surgery for newborns.  The center offers cardiac surgery services for congenital heart defects, vessel and valve abnormalities, atrial and ventricular septal defects in addition to pediatric ancillary services for the families of patients.  Potential candidates must have at least three years of critical care experience as a PNP or RN.

 
Children's National Medical Center, District of Columbia
Children's National is a nationally renowned health care center that specializes in pediatric care.  It is the only facility of its kind devoted entirely to pediatric care on the Eastern Seaboard. 
CNS PACU - Pre and Post Anesthesia Care Unit
Clinical Nurse Specialists are highly qualified professional nurses that actively participate in the education of other nurses in their unit in addition to contributing to research projects.  In the Pre Anesthesia Care Unit, nurses prepare the patients and their families for operations, use communication skills to assess potential problems, and intervene as necessary to provide effective care.  On the day of surgery nurses analyze and consolidate the existing information, and begin the physical and emotion preparations that accompany surgery.  In the Post Anesthesia Care Unit, nurses are integral in preparing patients for the transition to post operation care and monitoring.  Nurses also are the main source of care in the extended observation period of patient care.
CNS Operating Room
Children's National performs in excess of 14,000 surgeries annually ranging from standard operations to complex spine and neurological surgeries.  Children's National was the first pediatric hospital in the United States to use 3-D imaging systems in the operating room, and its nurses are known to be among the most proficient in the world.

 
Children's Health Care of Atlanta, Georgia
Children's Health Care of Atlanta is one of the premier pediatric centers in the Southern United States.  It is spread among three campuses that include Scottish Rite, one the highest ranking medical centers in the country.  It is home to the Aflac Cancer Center and Blood Disorder Service, which offers the largest comprehensive sickle cell disease program in the country.  
Clinical Director Cancer Center
The Aflac Cancer Center is looking for a highly motivated Clinical Director that possesses superior leadership skills, effective team manager, and a vision to direct one of the premier Cancer Treatment Centers in the United States.  In addition to a background in pediatric health care, potential candidates must exhibit dynamic financial management capabilities.  Interested candidates contact Melnic Consulting for further details about this exciting opportunity.     
Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for the Sickle Cell Center
At this point, the Aflac Cancer Center has treated 25 pediatric patients with matched-sibling blood and marrow transplants, more than any other center in the United States.  Children's Health Care of Atlanta is at the very front of medical progress in treating sickle cell disease.
