February 2 or 3: Market Research (Part of JumpStart Series)

What is market research and how do you use it to assess the potential of your business idea? How do you identify your business model and determine your target market? How do you do your own market research?

   

February 8: How to Do Business with Government Agencies

This workshop focuses on determining if your business is at the right stage to pursue opportunities with government agencies, and how to market your business to them. Learn the steps to identify contract opportunities, including which websites to visit to find bid opportunities.

  

February 9 or 10: Marketing & Selling Strategies (Part of JumpStart Series) 

This session addresses how to:  distinguish between selling and marketing, identify benefits for building skills in both areas, identify key forms of media that will help market your business, develop at least 3 strategies for marketing, and more.

 

February 15: Government Proposal Writing: Learn Tools and Techniques that Will Enhance Your Chances for Writing Proposals that Sell

Let's face it, you want contracts. The primary steps in gaining a government contract lie in the strategic planning and execution of writing a government proposal. This workshop is designed to teach you the key elements of a contract-winning proposal.

 

February 16: Connection Points: Industry Specific Networking for Caterers, Event Planners, Florists, Photographers and Videographers

If you are looking to meet potential collaborators who are caterers, event planners, florists, photographers or videographers, then this event is for you. This Connection Points event will include plenty of networking time and a short panel presentation where resources  in each discipline share insights on trends in the industries; answer direct  questions from participants; and share information on helping a client select these types of services and costs associated with these services.
