Help Us Prevent the Spread of the Influenza A (H1N1) Virus
At the YM-YWHA, we are committed to the well being of our
members and participants. We are closely monitoring the influenza A (H1N1)
epidemic as it unfolds and taking preventative measures to help you stay safe
and healthy.
Over the coming days, you will notice posters throughout our
facilities explaining simple steps you can take to prevent the spread of germs.
You will also notice new hand sanitizers at key entry points to complement the
existing units already in place throughout the building.
We encourage your collaboration in following these
preventative hygienic measures:
-
Wash your hands frequently;
-
Use hand sanitizers;
-
Wipe exercise equipment before and after use;
-
Practice proper respiratory hygiene: cough or sneeze into a
tissue or sleeve;
-
If you have flu-like symptoms, avoid public places, wear a
mask, and see a doctor immediately.

Update on the Ben Weider Fitness Center of Excellence: The Stepmill Has Arrived!
The Stairmaster Stepmill has been called the toughest workout in the gym. We think it just might be the toughest workout anywhere! For members who want real results and a real workout, there is no substitute.
During the week of September 7th, you'll get to try the Stepmill first-hand and see for yourself just how this piece of equipment has earned its reputation. To learn more about the Stairmaster Stepmill, click on the Stepmill image link.
We also invite you to view our photo album of the BIG MOVE: the day the weight room floor staff relocated all our cardio pieces to Gym A. A great big thanks to our stellar staff!

A Big Welcome to Our New Aquatic Coordinator

Protect Your Valuables!
Leave your valuables at home. If you have valuables with you (jewelry, wallet, mp3
players, car keys, etc.) use our free security lockerettes located at the FRS Reception
Desk. Always use a quality
double-locking lock when securing your locker. We remind ALL members that no sports bags, coats, or boots
are permitted in program spaces.
