BIDVEST EXPANSION OF SERVICES IN CENTRAL QUEENSLAND
The following announcement has been received from Bidvest.
9th April 2010TEAM ANNOUNCEMENTACQUISITION OF KELE BROSIt is with great pleasure that we announce that Bidvest Australia Limited has entered into a contract to purchase the business of Kele Bros in Central Qld.
This acquisition is effective from Monday 12th April 2010 and further enhances Bidvest's national distribution capabilities.
Kele Bros is a long established and substantial foodservice business based out of Rockhampton with branches in Longreach, Emerald, Gladstone and Bundaberg.
John Kele will be staying on with the business for a period of time to ensure a smooth transition of ownership.
We welcome all of the Kele team into the Bidvest family and look forward to the continued growth and success of the Kele business within the Bidvest group.

PRICE OF SQUID SET TO RISE
Lisa Verano from Bidvest has written to advise ...
"We have been notified of a price increase on squid, of approximately 15% which is expected to come through in May. This has occurred as a result of poor squid catches worldwide in 2009 leading to higher prices, and as we come into the off season for squid, this is also impacting on prices. Relief may come around mid year when the new season for squid begins production again, provided catches are plentiful again."

Account Discounts explained
How do Bunning's Account Discounts Work though CSCBG?
Bunnings have placed Members on a special "717" profile
which provides discounts as follows:
- Trade Cash Card customers (where you present your card at time of purchase and available for all CSCBG members) receive 0% - 5% on a limited range
of
products (mainly those used in a typical house construction
project)
discount does not apply to plants, tools, outdoor equipment and
paint as
these products are sold at EDLP 'Every Day Lowest Prices'. This
policy
means that we continually monitor the marketplace to ensure that
our
products are competitive. If the customer finds a better price for
the
exact product then we'll match that price and beat it by 10%
(excluding
commercial quantities of products).
- A Trade Account - where you have opened an account through the CSCBG Office - receives a
discount between 0% -
20% on a limited range of building products, however by being
linked to a
price list it allows members to purchase from a wider product range than a Cash Card at
competitive trade prices. (This applies to account holders
that spend
over the threshold of $6,000 per annum).
- Trade Account customers with special building projects should seek a Trade Quote - which will be provided with the 717 profile pricing. This will provide significant discounts and should be used as one of your pricepoints for comparrison for any major project.
