Delivering packages to seniors
Employees from United Way's Top 10 companies recently donated snack items and created special care packages for the seniors at Providence House in Reading.  The snack packs were then hand-delivered to residents of the senior high-rise by employees from many of those same companies.

The activity, which was held in conjunction with
Resident Arlene Levan was one of many residents happy to see the volunteers
Fantasy Baseball
Berks Encore, was a special opportunity for volunteers not only to provide much-needed items to the seniors, but also to spend quality time talking to the residents.  The time spent with the seniors gave the volunteers a better understanding of why their efforts were so important, and gave them the opportunity see first-hand the impact of their work.
