PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

2011 WithIt President
|
Just Do It
WithIt members, It is with great honor that I serve as WithIt president for 2011. This organization has meant volumes to me on a personal and professional level since I joined in 1998, and I hope it provides the same for each of you. Our goal this year is one of renewal - renewal of memberships, renewal of meaning and renewal of connections between members, former members and prospects. Sometimes as members, we fail to recognize the value of connections. And sometimes as an organization, we don't communicate our value well enough. We are not AARP or AAA and never plan to be. Providing value to our members doesn't come in the form of car rental discounts or health insurance. It is something much more valuable and intangible - building relationships with colleagues and industry leaders, learning a new skill to navigate the corporate ladder or mentoring a student, to name a few. I challenge you to renew your connections with WithIt this year. Call a colleague who hasn't renewed their membership. Introduce yourself to a member you've always wanted to meet. Ask a board member how you can become more involved in the organization. In the words of the famous sneaker commercial, "Just do it." Mary Leigh Mary Leigh Howell RLF Communications, Inc. 2011 WithIt President

The organization works with an orphanage in Haiti that was hit hard in the earthquake one year ago. Although day to day operations have stabilized, beds are still needed. It is easy to give, and you can do as much or as little as you want. Everything will make a difference in the lives of these children. Individual gifts are welcome, as well as gifts from your employers and companies. Please pass the information to others and give them the opportunity to give and be involved.
