New Feature
www.withit.org

Now WithIt can Share News, Information and Photos from our regional events and other member Interests. A special feature on www.withit.org allows the posting of PDF files or PowerPoint presentations giving you access to the rich knowledge being shared at events around the country. Select the item from the Calendar of Events that you would like to access or follow the link in this newsletter to stay in touch.

Competitive Intelligence, April High Point market, a PowerPoint presentation, and scrapbook pages from the NY Grand Design Tour held in May are our first posts using the new feature. Be patient, for a large file it might take a couple of seconds.

NOW you can share in events even if you cannot attend them! ENJOY

Congratulations to our Chicago/Midwest region for
"Dames Who Decide"

The Dames Who Decide Midwestern regional event with more than 40 people attending was a huge success. Many thanks go to Rebecca Miller, Leslie Carothers, Erin Piotrowski and Patricia Myhre for their efforts. Gabberts, now owned by HOM Furniture, was an incredible event host led by their director of events Peggy Jennings.

Many students attended from different design colleges.  Added to this were mid-level and senior professionals,  so it was a perfect representation of  WithIt  members - women from all industry segments at all different phases of their careers coming together to learn and network with each other.

The presenters for the evening each gave snapshot presentations that were followed by discussions.  To learn from these knowledgeable speakers, click here.

You are Going to Love This

Bridge headerThe evening of June 16th, the Virginias/Carolinas Region gathered on the veranda of red egg,  Carol Gregg's Home/Showroom, for a delightful evening of food and good old-fashioned "Show & Tell".

We all know and research verifies that women are the best buyers and recommenders, so we shared what we know best: good products, must haves and can't live with-outs. We introduced favorite items, with the conversation leading us to the qualities that make a product marketable to women.

Presented below are their "can't live without" products.

Bridge headerWomen desire products that are efficient, "that work!" have proven quality and makes them feel good. Much can be learned from these members when they review products in other industries.  Busy, mulit-taskers want products that perform.  Are we, the home furnishings industry, creating products with that in mind? And do they make her feel good?
