MEET YOUR BOARD ~ Leslie Sullivan

SullivanAs a resident of Williston for the past 14 years, I have enjoyed many wonderful opportunities to serve the community on both a professional and personal level.  On the professional level, I have had the privilege to work for the following employers in a variety of capacities:  Bookkeeper/Dist. Hot Lunch Program Coordinator at Williston Middle School, Commercial Producer for KUMV-TV, Marketing and Communications for Williston Parks & Recreation, and University Webmaster and Graphic Designer at Montana State University - College of Technology.  Currently, I am the Marketing and Communications Manager for Mercy Medical Center.  On a personal level, I have been involved with the following organizations: Event Coordinator for the Prairie Arts Festival, Executive Director/ President/Board Member for the Upper Missouri Arts Council, Treasurer of the Williston High School Boys' Swim Team, Williams County 5 + 5 Coalition & Walk ND Committee, Healthy Williston Healthy Youth Greater Coalition, Women's Go Red, Building Healthy Families, and Mentors and Friends.

I was born in Valley City, ND where I lived and worked until my husband, Jim and I moved to Williston in 1997; along with our three sons, Austin, Michael and Brandon.  Currently, our family owns and operates two businesses which include a site development and infrastructure business as well as a housing construction company, Sullivan Construction, Inc. and Baklot Homes, respectively. We currently own a 50+ acre development in the Fargo-Moorhead area, a 15 acre development in Dickinson, and a 2 acre development in Williston.  We continue to prospect for viable developments across the upper Midwest.  Our entire family has received higher education credits through Williston State College.  My formal education includes an Associate of Arts degree in Commercial and Graphic Arts and a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree, both from Valley City State University.  You may also find it interesting to know, I managed the University Print Shop at Valley City State, where I performed the roles of graphic artist and primary off-set pressman, for nine years.
