Welcome to the Covenant online community!

Covenant for New England exists to foster revival and transformation in our region. We welcome your news about revival in New England. The deadline for submitting to the February eLetter is January 15. We need to hear about miracles, wonders, answers to prayer and results of prayer in communities. No story or testimony is too insignificant.

Please send reports, testimonies and stories to Madeleine.

May Jesus bless you and your family richly in the New Year.

Why I'm part of Covenant for New England

Bethany Yeo
"When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all in one accord in one place (Acts 2:1)."

Covenant for New England is one of the means by which God is bringing His body in New England into "one accord". I am a part of Covenant because I believe that the components of unity and collaborative relationship are vital to the process of seeing the invading, transforming presence of God in every area of society.

Neil T. Anderson coming in May

Neil T. AndersonDr. Neil T. Anderson of
Freedom in Christ Ministrieswill lead the "Discipleship Counseling" conference on
May 2-3, 2008, at Congregacion Leon de Juda. The world-renowned author, speaker, and teacher will train pastors, counselors, and key lay people how to conduct a discipleship counseling session and sett up such a ministry in their churches.

"I am asking Christian leaders to give us a day to show them how Discipleship Counseling can be accomplished by well trained lay people in their church at a minimal cost. It will take a heavy load off the pastor and many will be helped in the process. A church full of liberated people will become the salt and light in a dark world that desperately needs the light of God's glory."

The co-sponsors of this conference, John 17:23 Ministries and Covenant for New England, are looking forward to achieving these goals alongside other churches and ministries as the Body of Christ in Boston and New England, as God leads.  For more information, please contact Dale Atlas. Phone: 781-665-3139.

Global Day of Prayer 2008
For the third consecutive year, believers in New England will unite with fellow Christians around the world in the Global Day of Prayer. This major event takes place on Pentecost Sunday, May 11, in multiple venues around New England.

Following the example of the first believers who "joined together constantly" in prayer (Acts 1:14) until the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, the Global Day of Prayer is calling Christians from all nations to unite in prayer. A simple threefold strategy will be implemented each year until 2010 and beyond:

·          10 Days of day-and-night prayer from Ascension Day until the Saturday before Pentecost Sunday, organized by Jon Friz.

·          A Global Day of Prayer on Pentecost Sunday. See slideshow.

·          90 Days of Blessing organized by local communities

Learn about the many exciting ways to be involved. Contact Diane Shimer, Global Day of Prayer volunteer coordinator, to learn more.

When New England Prays 2008
Key prayer leaders from the six New England states are in the final stages of preparing a vision statement for a year-long regional consecration to the Lord:

"Remembering the covenants of the past, we purpose together to seek the manifest presence of God across the six New England states so that revival might once again visit this region, bringing awakening to the Church and transformation to the culture.

"We therefore, invite the six states to gather the denominations, counties, communities, churches, ministries and families of New England to enter into a time of preparation, repentance and united action.  We will gather together on October 4th, 2008 to celebrate this process with a view toward continued collaboration."
