18 Down, Zanskar Canyon Day 4
Arguably, the  best way to experience Ladakh on a guaranteed-to-stay-with-you experience down the amazing Zanskar canyon. Undoubtedly a classic, this journey to the last truly lost horizon of our shrinking planet - Zanskar, the "land of white copper" is a trip of a lifetime.

Our most popular trip fills up weeks before trip deadline, and very few spots will be left, very soon.

A visual preview of the trip is also a National Geographic Adventure One film - click here for preview!

Kuflon, the inimitable retreat
Siladoooni is used mainly as pastoral ground by the local villagers for gazing. The campsite is surrounded with thick forest and is home to barbets, thrushes, woodpeckers and a variety of Himalayan bird species. The water holes made by the villagers for their cattle are favorite with the wild animals and chances to catch them unawares is high for the early risers.

EXCITING JUNE - JULY TREKS !!
Base of Konze La

An interesting trek beginning at Lamayuru and walking up the less traveled Ripchar valley with its small villages, nomadic settlements and pastures where we see a wide variety of flowers from end of July to end of August and birds too. We cross some high passes with excellent views of the Karakorams and the Zanskar ranges.

Crossing a Stream

A moderate trek which starts from the Bhagirathi valley, via the lake of Dodital  to the alpine meadows and crosses over at Darwa Pass (4150m) to the Yamuna watershed. Traditionally this trek has been continuously used by the Gujjars, the nomadic herdsmen who get their buffalos to the high meadows every summer and occasionally by the pilgrims / sadhus walking between Gangotri and Yamunotri
