Dear Friends,
When planning the adventure trip of a lifetime, the most mportant decision you'll make is not where to go, but who to go with. Think about the stakes: weeks of your time, your hard earned money, even, potentially, your own safety. If an outfitter fails to deliver on the dark side of the moon, you don't get a do-over. An expert tour company, on the other hand, can give you access to remote lands, introduce you to those who live there, and make sure you not only see their world, but also experience it.
As we close our monsoon season in Spiti and Ladakh next month and begin our post monsoon sojourn till the year end, we thank everyone who joined us for our treks, mountain climbs, safaris and river running trips.
This reach out surely goes out not a day too early, as we are sure there are many of you, who are looking at taking that elusive outdoor vacation, so here is your chance......
From the entire team at Aquaterra Adventures, we wish you the very best !!

Mahakali expedition, Oct 28-Nov 05, 2008 The Kali river forms the international border between India and Nepal in its upper reaches. A self-contained river journey down this river is one of the prime options in this part of the Himalaya. The river flows past terraced farms of Kumaoni and Nepali villages, fresh water streams, sandy beaches, thick tropical jungles, plantations as we travel downstream through the terai belt negotiating exciting white water. Kali makes its final descent to the plains in the last day on theriver, beginning with the mighty Chooka rapid. Flowing past the terai hills after densely forested hillsides, this trip is an outdoor wilderness experience in a league of its own. Click here for a visual preview. |
The Great Brahmaputra Descent Nov 16-28, 2008 Rated as the Top Ten India Adventures by OUTSIDE magazine, with cover stories on Paddler Magazine, New York Times, Action Asia and our 2002 trip documented as a National Geographic Adventure One film, this is our signature trip!
Aquaterra Adventures invites you to be an expedition member on one of the top rafting expeditions in the world, from Nov 16-28, 2008 on the Upper Brahmaputra
This trip is a cultural eye-opener travelling through a very remote part of India, beginning with an amazing ferry ride up the gigantic river viewing the Gangetic dolphin and migratory birds ; and a 2-day drive through tropical rainforest and lots more..... After your day-one plunge through a ten-mile stretch with some of the biggest rapids rafted commercially, rapids like 'Pulsating Palsi", you'll be ready to descend the Ningguing and Marmong gorges. You will raft down 'Roaring Rikor" and "Zebra Rock" till the Class 6 "Toothfairy" at Cherring. You will run "Hairy Hari", "Kim Broken Oar" rapids, scout "Moing Madness" and see huge 20 foot plus breakers within arms reach. You will spend days floating down the beautiful vastness of this river, the 'Son of Brahma", past tribal settlements, run down "Karko Killer" and brace yourself for the final drop at the "Pongging Punch". |
Upper Subansari Kayak Expedition and Raft Expeditions Nov 27-Dec 08, 2008 - Book Now! This beautiful river has been first run twice before by Indian army teams in 1994, only once from our slated starting point. Our 2006 trip was the first open descent offer of this river, and with a 116 m high hydel dam being built which would span the lower mountain mouth of this beautiful river by Sep 2010, there is little time left to savor this nature's blessing and part take in this unique experience. We are looking forward to a high kayak descent and a first descent from Nacho or upstream on rafts in December this year. | |
