This week we will continue our series called Shine
which stems from Jesus' words from the "sermon on the
mount." It's in Matthew 5 and Jesus says a lot but we are going to look at what it means to live out what Jesus meant when He said that we are the "light of the world."
Just what exactly does it mean to shine and specifically here at MCC
how do we help people get, keep, or get back their shine? Last week we looked at what it means to "Plug In." If you missed that message you can listen to it here.
This week Mike will be talking about how we "Charge Up." Be sure to invite a friend.

Join us Sunday August 17, 7:30-9:30pm at the Sycamore Trails Aquatic Center for the all church pool party with an olympic flavor. Admission is complimentary to the entire MCC family and any guests you would like to invite. Bring your own snacks or the concession stand will also be open from 7:30-8:30pm for any food you would want to purchase.
In honor of the olympics we'll be having games for all ages:
Water balloon toss, Coin Dive, Slide Races, Belly-smack contest |

Meet there at 10 am. Kindergarten and under parents must stay. Kid Zone kids (those going into 1st-5th) can be dropped off and picked up at Noon. Admission is $6 per child which includes pizza, drink and tokens. Don't forget to bring your report cards for extra tokens. Sign up at the Info Desk. |
