| Greetings!
Happy Holidays!
I wanted to say "Thank You" for being such wonderful customers. I hope you enjoy the workshops as much as I like hosting them. As a token of my appreciation, I will be giving you all a "gift" of a free pack of paper or envelopes with your first 2008 order!
This month I am offering a special of free shipping and free tax on any of the retiring stampsets or accessories. Visit my blog to view the list: http://heatherporto.blogspot.com.
In this addition, I will be featuring the holiday cards we made at our last workshop. Normally I offer to make them for you ($3.00 a piece) however since they are holiday cards I'm not sure you'd be able to send them in time. But if you are interested in purchasing them, let me know and I'll see what I can do.
Lastly, Stampin' Up is still offering their Holiday Glitz promotion and Wrapping Up The Holidays promotion until Dec. 15th - this Saturday!
Hope to see you all soon,
Heather :)

Let It Snow
This is a fun card to do and is generic. You'll have fun with the brayer tool!
Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Night of Navy, Glossy White
Stampsets: Big on Christmas and The Snowflake Spot
Inks: Blue Frost spectrum pad, Black, Night of Navy and Bliss Blue classic ink pads
Other: White crayon, dazzling diamonds, and a brayer tool
Instructions: Stamp the image in black ink of the white glossy paper. Use the white crayon to color the letters and the snowman's face. Then ink and use the brayer tool and keep rolling over the image until the desired color is acheived. Use a napkin or paper towel to wipe off the paper - where the crayon is and the white will "pop" out. Then I used glitter and colored in the rest of the snowman with markers. Adhere all the layers of paper together. Then stamp the snowflakes so they overlap onto the glossy paper as well.

Solemn Stillness
This is a beautiful, but easy card to make using only 1 ink color and gold embossing. My friend Rosemary designed this card - thanks Ro! I loved it so much I did it at my workshop.
Cardstock: Bravo Burgundy, Always Artichoke, Very Vanilla.
Stampsets: Solemn Stillness
Inks: I used True Thyme but you could use Always Artichoke.
Other: Versa Mark pad, Embossing Buddy, Gold Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Gold Ribbon
Instructions: I used a Poinsettia wheel (but you can use any stamps or just leave it plain) on the Bravo Burgundy. I stamped the tree with the True Thyme ink on the Vanilla paper. Then I used the swirl tree in Versa Mark to emboss in gold. The greeting at the bottom was also embossed in gold. The Vanilla and True Thyme cardstock are adhered and then gold ribbon is tied around it before adhering it to the Bravo Burgundy.

Poinsettia
Using a wheel and punches makes this card quick and easy.
Cardstock: Always Artichoke, Bravo Burgundy, Brushed Gold, Very Vanilla
Stampsets: Poinsettia wheel, Baroque
Inks: Bravo Burgundy ink (wheel), True Thyme
Other: Wheel, square punches, Embossing Buddy, Versa Mark pad, Gold Embossing Powder, Gold Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals, Gold marker, Heat Gun
Instructions: Use the wheel to cover a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. Then using the punches, punch 3 parts of the Vanilla cardstock and 3 out of Gold paper (adhere). Also use the wheel over the Burgundy cardstock. Adhere the Burgundy and Gold pieces. Then wrap ribbon around and tie a knot. Then use Dimensionals to adhere the punched pieces.

Snowflakes and Snowman
Can you tell I love snowflakes and Snowman? This card is filled with all types of snowflakes and uses the Frosty stampset that is due to retire.
Cardstock: Shimmery White, Vellum (or I used Snowflake vellum I bought from Michael's)
Stampsets: The Snowflake Spot, Frosty, Snow Burst
Inks: Lavender Lace, Pixie Pink, Black
Other: Cuttlebug and snowflake embossing folder, dazzling diamonds, two way glue, Dimensinoals, Cricut machine for die-cut snowflakes (which you could have used a punch for as well)
Instructions: Stamp snowman on cardstock, color and cut out. Stamp snowflakes on the vellum using the 2 other inks (purple and pink).. Run the vellum through the Cuttlebug - embossed effect. Add two way glue and glitter to the "hill" for the snowman. Adhere all the pieces and add more glitter to snowflakes as desired. Lastly, add the die-cut or punched out snowflakes.

On Angel Wings
Many people love this card so we've done it at a few workshops. Again this card uses embossing but is relatively easy.
Cardstock: Cranberry Crisp (but could use Bravo Burgundy), Very Vanilla, Brushed Gold
Stampsets: On Angel Wings (retired hostess set)
Inks: Cranberry Crisp (or Bravo Burgundy), Gold
Other: Dazzling Diamonds, Versa Mark Pad, Embossing Buddy, Gold Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Sponge, Blush Blossom Marker, Watercolor Crayons (Soft Subtles) or Pencils
Instructions: Use the embossing buddy and chalk where you are going to emboss. Stamp the greeting and the Angel in Versa Mark. Sprinkle gold emboss powder on the image/greeting and heat. To color the Angel I used a blender pen and the Cranberry Crisp ink, Blush Blossom marker for the flesh (face, arms, legs, feet), watercolors for hair (or you can use them for the dress and more), and Dazzling Diamonds on the wings and dove.

Sparkling Tree - Most Popular
This is one of this year's favorites - and the easiest! I created it with silver and gray but it would like great with any colors.
Cardstock: Whisper White, Brushed Silver, and Basic Gray.
Stampsets: Lovely as a Tree
Inks: Basic Gray
Other: Dazzling Diamonds, Xyron machine and permanent adhesive cartridge, silver ribbon.
Instructions: Stamp your images with Basic Gray. Run the image of the large, tall tree through the Xyron machine. An alternative is to use the two way glue and rub it all over the front of the cardstock and then sprinkle with the glitter, or to use Versa Mark over the image and use Heat-n-Stick powder, heat it, sprinkle with glitter and then reheat.
