Are you in ALIGNMENT with me, or some other kid?

Yes, it's me, Cameron. Pop is skiing so I left his article in but am replacing his letter and quotes. This is my way to engage, as he asked us all to do in a recent letter. I'll just tell him I am taking his advice.

If not, have you forgotten that you too are a kid? We are all kids. Me, you, and the old guy next door. Yup, at heart, deep down, just kids.

If we are not in alignment let's work at it. It's simple. We have fun, we both win, we fight, we make up, we don't hold grudges, we enjoy the small things in life. We don't sweat anything. We don't worry. We live in the NOW.

TO-DO LIST I am always trying out new software and have found one that does most of what I want. Plus, the basic version is free and is internet based for easy access.


"A new teacher was trying to make use of her psychology courses. She started her class by saying, 'Everyone who thinks they're stupid, stand up!' After a few seconds, Little Larry stood up. The teacher said, 'Do you think you're stupid, Larry?' 'No, ma'am, but I hate to see you standing there all by yourself! 


"Larry watched, fascinated, as his mother smoothed cold cream on her face. 'Why do you do that, mommy?' he asked. 'To make myself beautiful,' said his mother, who then began removing the cream with a tissue. 'What's the matter, asked Larry 'Giving up?' "


"Larry's kindergarten class was on a field trip to their local police station where they saw pictures tacked to a bulletin board of the 10 most wanted criminals. One of the youngsters pointed to a picture and asked if it really was the photo of a wanted person. 'Yes,' said the policeman. 'The detectives want very badly to capture him. Larry asked,"Why didn't you keep him when you took his picture ? ""

Me, I am holding the fort. It stretches and tests me and I know it's good. Isn't that the same for you? Reach and you'll be pleased with all you can do that you were not aware of.

Was I invited skiing you ask? NO. I expected to be, and I thought he would. He told me I was too valuable in the office. Hmmm, was he just saying that? Tell me what you really think!

Hey, I'm going to replace his letter above and quotes with what I want! We'll see what happens.

P.S. Pop told me of a new opportunity but he didn't list it. I'll remind him when he gets back. I'll put it on his TOODLEDO list. Come back next week and see what he added.

P.S.S. Tell friends when they sign up for the newsletter to say it's for me, Cameron. That way I'll beat Pop at his own game. He likes to win and so do I. He always says, "show me someone who doesn't mind losing and I'll show you a loser!

Are you in alignment? With what? With whom?

Without alignment, life and relationships do not work. The work is being in alignment, and the rest just flows.

Get in line with the hill and the snow, and you ski effortlessly. Fight it, don’t align, and it will be a fight to the end; and the end will see you losing, tired and exhausted.

Want to sell someone something? Want to get your partner to go along with you? Want a raise from your boss? Get alignment first. With alignment all things are possible. Without alignment, few things are possible.

Remember the visual of the water and the rock? The water goes around the rock and eventually wears the rock away. First, the water aligned with the rock by going around it, and not trying to go through it. With alignment, the water was still able to flow downhill and, in the end, the water wore away the rock.

The plants and animals are in alignment with mother nature and it all works, appearing to be effortless. In many respects it is, as they work with and in alignment with mother nature. They are in sync and together they accomplish.

Alignment, or some use the term in sync, is the first step of any accomplishment. If you are not in alignment you need to either get into alignment or move on to something else.

There are some jobs and groups that you align with and it is a joy and a pleasure to be part of it all. You look forward to it and enjoy it. You also give extra effort.

There are other jobs and groups that you are not in alignment with. If you are with them you are not enjoying the experience, and you can’t wait for it to be over. If you are working a job and not in alignment, move on. It’s not who is right or wrong, it is that it does not fit with you at this time.

We are not all alike, and we do not all like the same things, the same groups, and the same work. That is life itself. It’s OK not to be in alignment with a particular group. It’s not OK to force yourself against your own will. Go with and be with those whom you are in alignment with.

We all have unique talents and different likes and dislikes. Those who think like you and like the same activities are easy and fun to be with as you are in alignment. Others, not so much so.

If you are out of alignment with you job, start planning for a new job in which you are in alignment, and will look forward to going to work and enjoying it. If you are in a social group and not in alignment move on to a group in which you are in alignment. It’s that simple.

If you are in sales you won’t make a sale until you are in alignment with the potential buyer. The same goes for social interaction. Want to succeed? Find points of alignment with the other person first, before you try to make a sale or convince them to support you in some endeavor.

Alignment is the key to success in relationships, which is life itself.
